The Fox Cities PAC will host Chicago as well as Hotel California, a tribute to the Eagles. The Neenah Community Band begins its summer series of free concerts, and award-winning musician Camille Thurman will play at Gibson Music Hall.
Chicago to perform June 20 at Fox Cities PAC
June 20 is your chance to see one of the most iconic bands in music. Chicago will perform beginning at 7:30 p.m. at the Fox Cities Performing Arts Center in Appleton.
The show description states that Chicago is the highest-charting American band in Billboard’s Top 125 Artists of All Time.
They have produced Top 40 albums for nearly 60 years, with 21 Top 10 singles, five No. 1 albums, and 48 gold and platinum awards.

Award-winning musician Camille Thurman to play at Gibson
Jazz Coterie presents Camille Thurman and the Darrell Green Quartet on June 24. There will be two shows offered, at 6 and 8 p.m. at Gibson Music Hall, 211 W. College Ave., Appleton.
Camille Thurman is an award-winning singer/saxophonist who will perform with Wallace Roney Jr. on trumpet, Jordan Williams on piano, Paul Beaudry on bass, and Darrell Green on drums.
Thurman is equally adept on the tenor saxophone and vocals. The New York City-born artist has been compared to Ella Fitzgerald, Sarah Vaughan, Betty Carter, Dexter Gordon, and Joe Henderson. She is the first woman to perform and tour full-time with the Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra (2018-2020).

Neenah Community Band begins summer series June 24
The Neenah Community Band will kick off its Summer Concert Series on June 24. The concerts begin at 7 p.m. at Riverside Park, 500 E. Wisconsin Ave., Neenah.
Note that the July 4 performance begins at 7:45 p.m.
The band consists of all volunteer musicians. Concerts are free, but donations are accepted and go toward scholarships a high school band student who attend summer music clinic. The band’s “Honor Band Award” is given each year to an outstanding Neenah High School graduating senior.

Civil War era focus of History Museum walking tour
The History Museum at the Castle will offer several walking tours this summer. The walking tour “Civil War Era Appleton” will begin at 6 p.m. June 25. The same program will be offered again July 2
Learn what Appleton was like during the Civil War featuring views of Appleton from a Civil War era stereographer.

Hotel California show pays tribute to the Eagles
Hotel California “A Salute to the Eagles” comes to the Fox Cities Performing Arts Center on June 21. The show begins at 7:30 p.m.
The show description on the website states, “By respectfully and accurately reproducing the Grammy award winning sounds of a generation’s Greatest American Songbook, this legendary Southern California group has become the most successful and longest running show of its kind.”
