TWO RIVERS – A house fire Monday afternoon resulted in residents being displaced and the loss of one dog.
Two Rivers Fire Department was dispatched to 1117 35th St. at around 3:39 p.m. June 30 for the report of a fire. When crews arrived, they observed heavy smoke and visible flames coming from the second-story front portion of the home.
The department said in a news release that firefighters began an aggressive interior attack and the fire was rapidly brought under control.
No civilians or firefighters were injured, but the one dog did perish in the fire. American Red Cross is assisting the displaced residents.
The fire department said cause of the fire was under investigation.
