Thanasis Antetokounmpo is bringing wrestling royalty to Milwaukee on Friday night.
Ric Flair is the featured guest for the Thanalysis Show Live at The Riverside Theater, 116 W. Wisconsin Ave., on March 27, where he’ll provide fans with stories and behind-the-scenes insight in true Nature Boy style.
The show begins at 7 p.m. with doors opening at 6 p.m.
And Flair isn’t the only one who will be on stage with the Bucks forward and older brother of Giannis Antetokounmpo.
Fresh off his record-setting opening day performance on March 26 in the Milwaukee Brewers’ 14-2 win, starting pitcher Jacob Misiorowski will also be a guest, along with his manager, Pat Murphy.
And it only makes sense that Misiorowski is part of the guest list.
His nickname is “The Miz,” after all, the same nickname that the wrestler Mike Mizanin holds as “The Miz” in WWE.
Thanasis Antetokounmpo is a few years into his podcast venture and he’s taken the conversation on the road to fans on a couple occasions with live shows.
He’s had current and former teammates as part of his shows, including Giannis, plus Misiorowski and Murphy, but Flair will be his biggest non-basketball guest.
Thanasis, a noted wrestling fan with Giannis, said in an interview with the Journal Sentinel earlier this month that he’s been a wrestling fan since the early 2000s when he was around 9 or 10 years old when the likes of “Stone Cold” Steve Austin, The Rock and Kurt Angle were the top stars in WWE.

Thanasis and Giannis have attended wrestling events together over the years, including last month in Chicago at a WWE premium live event.
Thanasis said when preparing for this year’s live show he wanted to do something “special.”
He got in touch with his Flair’s people to see the interest. Based on Flair’s video previewing the event, the 77-year-old hasn’t missed a beat.
“I’m so excited to be with you in Milwaukee,” said Flair, whose appearance will be a homecoming of sorts since he attended high school in Beaver Dam at Wayland Academy in the 1960s. “I’ll be wearing a Rolex watch bigger than my left arm. I went to high school in Beaver Dam just down the road. Cannot wait to be with you.
“The Nature Boy is going to bring it. I will entertain you until you have to push me off the stage.”
Fans will “woo” to that.
While Thanasis promises a fun and entertaining evening, he’s keeping a few details of the night to himself.
“We’re going to have a lot of surprises for people coming in,” he said in the interview with the Journal Sentinel. “My way of giving back. Give back to the fans, give back to the people who supported us.”
Tickets are $56.96, including fees.
