WISCONSIN RAPIDS – The incumbent Wood County Clerk of Courts will advance to run unopposed in the fall general election.
Incumbent Kimberly A. Stimac overcame challenger Amanda J. Dolph for the Republican nomination for the Wood County Clerk of Courts office in the Aug. 11 fall primary election.
The Wood County Clerk of Courts serves a four-year term. No other candidates from any other party are registered to appear in this race on the Nov. 3 general election ballot.

More about Stimac and the Clerk of Courts office
Stimac, 45, was elected to her first term in the office in 2022 and previously served for more than 20 years in the Portage County Clerk of Circuit Court Office.
“I have worked hard to build the experience and dedication needed to serve in this role,” Stimac previously wrote in a response to USA TODAY NETWORK-Wisconsin. “I am committed to providing professional, transparent and dependable service to the residents of Wood County and would be honored to continue serving for years to come.”
The Wood County Clerk of Courts Office is the official record keeper for matters brought before the Wood County Circuit Court along with other duties such as receiving and disbursing bail, fines, forfeitures, fees and restitution and coordinating services with other government agencies, according to the office’s website.
