After 15 years in business, The Landing in St. Francis has closed.
The closure came quietly with a paper sign taped on the restaurant’s door at 2234 E. Layton Ave. noting it is “closed for good due to retirement.”
The sign concluded with a simple, “thanks to all our loyal customers.”
The restaurant’s Facebook page “About” section was also updated: “We have officially closed the doors to The Landing. Thank you all for the 15 years of support.” The location is also listed as permanently closed on Google.
The property operated as a bar/grill and also apparently includes apartment space, according to a sign in front of the building saying it’s available for sale or lease.
The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel attempted to reach out to the owners for more information on the closure, however the business’ website was no longer operational, the phone number was disconnected and the email listed on its Facebook page bounced back.
