DODGE COUNTY – A 70-year-old Reeseville man was seriously injured when a semi rear-ended the combine harvester he was driving on State 16/60 in Dodge County.
The crash was reported about 7:33 a.m. Aug. 15, according to the Dodge County Sheriff’s Office, which is investigating.
What happened in the crash?
Investigators determined the semi, which was hauling corn, and the combine were both traveling east when the semi struck the rear of the combine. Both vehicles had severe damage.
The combine driver was flown by Flight for Life to Aurora Summit Hospital. The semi driver, a 25-year-old Sharon man, had minor injuries and was released at the scene.
Wisconsin State Patrol, the Dodge County Emergency Response Team, CLR Fire Department and first responders, Beaver Dam Fire Department paramedics, Flight for Life and the Dodge County Highway Department assisted at the scene.
