A 911 call reported the crash at about 6:50 p.m., and deputies responded to County M near Amity Road alongside the Brandon/Fairwater Fire Department.

According to the sheriff’s office, the vehicle was traveling north on County M and went off the road into the east ditch, struck an embankment and overturned.

First responders extricated Navis and began administering medical aid.

Lifestar Ambulance transported him to SSM Health St. Agnes Hospital, but he died of his injuries.

The crash is still under investigation, but alcohol may have been a factor, according to the sheriff’s office.

County M was closed between Amity Road and County TC for one hour.
