Pulaski School Board is considering adding a $59.8 million capital referendum meant to address construction needs – including a long-awaited new pool – to the November ballot.
The district has been planning a referendum to address needed facilities updates for months, talking with district residents about their preferred priorities.
A $60 million referendum would raise taxes by approximately 23 cents per $1,000 of equalized property value. That would make the preliminary tax rate $7.17 per $1,000 of equalized property value, although that number could change when the district finalizes next year’s budget.
This preliminary rate isn’t final and still has to be approved by the Pulaski School Board. It has two meetings at which it can do so, on Aug. 5 and Aug. 19, before the November ballot deadline of Aug. 25.
