GREEN BAY – The Green Bay Packers had just two players on the active roster not participate in practice Sept. 19 before the team heads to Cleveland to face the Browns.
Of the key players who missed the Week 2 game against the Washington Commanders, offensive linemen Zach Tom (oblique) and Aaron Banks (groin) participated in practice for the third straight day.
Here’s who missed practice:
Tight end Tucker Kraft rehabbed but stayed inside
The Packers’ top tight end didn’t go outside for practice and stayed on the sideline as the rest of the team went out to Ray Nitschke Field.
The media is only allowed to view the 15-minute stretch period inside the Don Huston Center on Fridays, but Kraft was spotted on the sideline with a sleeve on his right leg doing rehab work.
Packers coach Matt LaFleur said Kraft suffered a knee injury during the Sept. 18 practice and his game status is unclear.
“It’s unfortunate,” LaFleur said on the injury. “It is what it is. I don’t think it will be long term, so that’s a positive.”
Jayden Reed injury update
Other than Kraft, Reed was the only other player who didn’t participate in practice as he’s likely headed to injured reserve.
The receiver posted on social media Sept. 16 that he had surgery to repair both a broken clavicle and a Jones fracture in his left foot. Reed broke his collarbone in the Packers’ Week 2 game against the Commanders on Sept. 11 and his foot injury has been lingering since training camp.
(This story will be updated following the release of the team’s injury report.)
