The NBA playoffs have a doubleheader for a second straight night as the Eastern and Western Conference semifinals shift to the lower seeds’ arenas, starting on Friday, May 8, for a pair of Game 3s.
And for the second straight day, both games will stream exclusively on Prime Video.
The New York Knicks and Philadelphia 76ers in the East open the doubleheader, with the San Antonio Spurs and Minnesota Timberwolves in the West closing out the night.
The Knicks will look to take a 3-0 series lead as they head to Philadelphia following a 108-102 win in Game 2. After posting one blowout victory after another, the Knicks showed they can win close games in these playoffs, too. In a contest that featured 25 lead changes, New York prevailed behind Jalen Brunson’s 26 points while holding the 76ers to 12 fourth-quarter points and only three points in the final 6:52.

Seven-time All-Star Joel Embiid, who missed Game 2 with injuries, remains questionable heading into Game 3 with a right ankle sprain and right hip soreness.
In the Western Conference, something will have to give in the Timberwolves-Spurs Game 3 as the series shifts to Minneapolis. The Timberwolves have yet to lose at home in the playoffs as they won all three of their games at Target Center against the Nuggets in the first round, while the Spurs have yet to lose on the road, winning both contests at Portland in Round 1.
This series is the only one of the four that isn’t 2-0 after the first two games. The Timberwolves stole Game 1 in San Antonio, but the young Spurs used a balanced and efficient effort (six in double figures as the team shot 50%) responded in a massive way, destroying Minnesota, 133-95. The starters were pulled on both teams early in the fourth quarter. It was the Timberwolves’ worst playoff loss in franchise history, while the Spurs’ total was their highest in the playoffs in 43 years.
