A new modern supper club experience is coming to downtown Milwaukee this fall and winter.
The Conroy, a downtown Milwaukee cocktail lounge that recently rebranded from its original iteration as Carbon Steak, is shedding its small plates menu for supper club fare during a limited-time dining experience that kicks off in November.
Beginning Nov. 4, the Conroy’s Modern Supper Club experience will bring an elevated reinterpretation of the traditional Wisconsin supper club to its space at 725 N. Milwaukee St.
“We’re not recreating the supper clubs of the past,” the Conroy ownership team said in a news release. “We’re honoring what made them special — the comfort, community, and celebration they represented — and bringing that experience forward through a modern lens.”
Chef Hector Martinez will serve a menu that includes caviar flights with Royal Osetra, A5 Japanese Wagyu, filet mignon with demi-glace and garlic potato purée, steak au poivre with brandy peppercorn, a Wagyu burger, saffron mussels, and roasted seafood platters featuring lobster tails, shrimp, scallops, and mussels in chili-garlic butter.
Dinner will be accompanied by live jazz and vocal performances, refreshing traditional supper club entertainment for a modern audience.
Guests are encouraged to stop in early for happy hour, from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Monday to Friday. Happy hour specials include caviar bumps paired with champagne, as well as shareable snacks like dry-aged meatballs, Parmesan truffle fries and house-made chips with caramelized onion dip. During happy hour, select wines are $8 and classic and signature cocktails are half price.
Reservations for The Modern Supper Club experience are encouraged. Guests can reserve seats online on OpenTable.
The Conroy’s hours are 5 to 9 p.m. Tuesday to Thursday and 5 to 10 p.m. Friday and Saturday.
