Medical examiner's office confirms workplace death at Johnson Controls facility in Marinette

A workplace death at Johnson Controls’ Industrial Parkway facility in Marinette is under investigation, according to Marinette County Medical Examiner’s Office.

The incident was reported to emergency services on Oct. 13, and the victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

No other details were provided by the medical examiner’s office. The death is also being investigated by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration.

Johnson Controls is a global technology and industrial company that makes heating, air conditioning, fire protection, security systems and other equipment for hospitals, schools, military facilities, public housing and other buildings.

“We are deeply saddened that one of our colleagues passed away Monday as the result of an accident at our Industrial Parkway facility in Marinette,” a Tyco spokesperson said in a statement. ”We offer our heartfelt condolences to the family, friends and colleagues of our teammate.”

Johnson Controls and Tyco International merged in 2016, shifting its headquarters from Milwaukee to Cork, Ireland.
