Manitowoc writer questions Trump’s election claims
President Trump has had a six-year fixation on the 2020 election he lost to Joe Biden, an election that has shown beyond a doubt he lost. He has pledged to clean up the election process to ensure that all elections will be fair and accurate.
Republican officials have appointed election officials to work the polls and oversee the polls who have denied the results of the 2020 election.
Fraud has been alleged, and the president’s representatives have taken the matter to more than 60 courts with their “evidence” and have failed to make their case. They were the ones requesting the hearings, and they have failed to find a court to agree with the president that the election of 2020 was anything but lawfully and fairly carried out.
Yet, there are patriotic Americans who continue to believe the president’s big lie. Some are elected officials who have sponsored legislation to correct the problems that didn’t exist.
I now ask, what about the 2024 election that Trump won? If the election problems exist as he claims, is he then bringing into question whether he was lawfully elected? What about the Republicans down ballot in 2020 and 2024 who won their elections? Should all those elections be thrown out and started over?
It is time for every American to wake up to the fact that the election process can be relied upon. It is time to call what Trump is saying is, in fact, the big lie from the biggest liar. Vote confidently.
