How hot did it get Sunday? Here are the highest heat index reports for central Wisconsin

Hot temperatures and high humidity lingered through Sunday, June 22 and into Monday, June 23 across central Wisconsin bringing dangerous heat index values with relief not expected until Monday afternoon or evening.

The following maximum heat index values were reported Sunday, according to the National Weather Service Green Bay:

Cold front expected to bring relief from heat wave

A line of thunderstorms was moving across central Wisconsin Monday afternoon bringing strong winds and small hail, according to the National Weather Service and several severe thunderstorm watches and warnings had been issued across the area.

As a cold front sweeps across the state Monday afternoon and evenings, most places will see at least a little rain and thunderstorms. Some storms could become severe. Storms are expected from noon to 10 p.m. Monday, with the greatest risk for severe storms from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m.
