SOFTBALL

Green Bay Preble 4, Ashwaubenon 1

GREEN BAY – In a battle for the top spot in the Fox River Classic Conference, Hannah Von Haden and Gracie Day had two hits apiece as the Hornets downed the Jaguars.

Tenley Kuehn pitched a complete game, giving up one earned run while striking out eight.

Grace Aichele pitched a complete game for the Jaguars, allowing four runs and striking out eight.

Lauren Seeling led the way for Ashwaubenon with two hits.

Preble remains unbeaten in Fox River Classic Conference play, while Ashwaubenon suffered its second conference loss.

The Hornets opened the scoring with three runs in the first. The Jaguars scored their lone run in the fifth, but Preble answered with a run in the sixth.

De Pere 7, West De Pere 6

DE PERE – Bella Robinett was 2-for-3 with a homer and three RBIs as the Redbirds held off the Phantoms for the Fox River Classic Conference win.

De Pere led 3-1 after one inning and 7-4 after two. West De Pere scored a run in the fourth and one in the seventh to close the gap.

Leading the Redbirds’ offense were Payton Spaeth, who was 2-for-3 with a double and an RBI, and Emma Baugnet, who homered and drove in three runs.

Notre Dame 13, Pulaski 9

PULASKI – The Tritons struck for five runs in the top of the ninth and held off the Red Raiders for the Fox River Classic Conference win.

Pulaski took a 3-2 lead after one inning, but Notre Dame answered by grabbing a 4-3 edge after two and 5-3 lead after three. The Red Raiders scored a run in the fifth and three in the sixth. The Tritons retook the lead with three in the seventh before Pulaski scored once in the bottom half to force extra innings.

Helping pace the Notre Dame offense were Kaia Waldrop, who was 3-for-5 with a triple, a homer and three RBIs; Addyson Simpson, who was 3-for-6 with a double and an RBI; Brynn Broekman, who was 3-for-4 with three RBIs; and Maisie Hinz, who was 2-for-3.

Powering the Red Raiders were Molly Molthen, who was 3-for-5 with a triple; Bailey Hronek, who was 2-for-4 with a double and an RBI; Kiera Altman, who was 2-for-5 with a double and two RBIs; and Ella Maroszek, who was 2-for-3 with three runs scored.

Manitowoc Lincoln 10, Green Bay Southwest 1

GREEN BAY – Anya Hall was 4-for-4 with a homer as the Ships took charge from the start to earn the Fox River Classic Conference win.

Manitowoc led 3-1 after one inning, 4-1 after two and 8-1 after four before scoring two in the sixth.

Getting two hits each for the Ships were Allison Seidl, Jordin Popp and Taylor Peterson.

Sam Raymaker earned the win, going seven innings, allowing three hits, one earned run and two walks with five strikeouts.

Danielle Skrzypchak, Mya Robertson and Hannah Dunlap had hits for the Trojans.

Bay Port 11, Sheboygan North 1

SHEBOYGAN – The Pirates used a pair of big innings en route to the Fox River Classic Conference win.

Bay Port led 4-0 after two innings and 9-0 after three before scoring single runs in the fourth and fifth innings.

The Golden Raiders scored their run in the bottom of the fifth.

Wrightstown 7, Xavier 6

WRIGHTSTOWN – After a slow start, the Tigers finished with a flourish, scoring two times in the bottom of the seventh inning to earn the nonconference win.

Xavier led 4-0 after one, but Wrightstown answered with one in the fourth and three in the fifth. Both teams scored one run in the sixth. After the Hawks scored one in the seventh, Wrightstown put away the game.

Annie Eiles had the hot bat for the Tigers, going 4-for-4 with an RBI, while Sophia Garcia was 2-for-4 with a double and two RBIs. Charlie Bowker added a pair of hits for Wrightstown.

Fox Valley Lutheran 13, Denmark 3

DENMARK – The Foxes took charge from the start en route to the big nonconference win.

FVL led 7-1 after one inning and upped that margin to 8-1 after two, 11-1 after three and 13-1 after four. Denmark scored two in the bottom of the fifth to finish the scoring.

Rebekah Dittmer had two hits and two RBIs, while Vanny Umentum added two hits for the Vikings.

Brillion 5, Luxemburg-Casco 4

BRILLION – The Lions built a five-run lead and held off a late Spartans charge to earn the nonconference victory.

Brillion scored one run in the first inning and four in the second before Luxemburg-Casco closed out the scoring with four in the sixth.

Amaya Brooks had the hot bat for the Lions, going 2-for-3 with a double and two RBIs.

Jocelyn Tamm picked up the win in the circle, pitching seven innings and allowing six hits, four earned runs and two walks.

Southern Door 3, Winneconne 2

BRUSSELS – Samantha Melville homered and the Eagles scratched out what ended up being the winning run in the bottom of the sixth to outlast the Wolves in nonconference play.

Southern Door scored single runs in the first and fourth, but Winneconne answered with two of its own in the top of the sixth inning.

Alanah Kaye earned the win in the circle, pitching seven innings and allowing five hits, two earned runs and one walk while striking out nine.

Coleman 10, Oconto Falls 8

OCONTO FALLS – The Cougars scored in each of the first five innings as they rallied for the nonconference win.

The Panthers led 2-1 after one. After Coleman tied it at 2-2 in the second, Oconto Falls took an 8-4 lead after three. The Cougars tied the game at 8-8 in the fourth before taking a two-run lead in the fifth.

Helping lead the Coleman offense were Kara Goddard, who was 3-for-5 with a triple and three RBIs; Ella Wyss, who was 3-for-4 with three doubles; and Alyssa Kurth, who was 2-for-4.

Leading the Panthers were Delaney McNichols, who was 3-for-4 with an RBI; Natalie Rieth, who was 2-for-4; Amelia Danielczak, who was 2-for-4 with a triple and an RBI; Katelyn Kurek, who was 2-for-4 with a double; and Megan Kesler, who was 2-for-4 with an RBI.

Crivitz 6, Kewaunee 5

CRIVITZ – The Wolverines plated the winning run in the bottom of the eighth inning to earn the nonconference win.

Powering Crivitz were Marli Meyers, who was 3-for-4 with an RBI; Brecken Ott, who was 3-for-3 with a double; Halli Dorschner, who was 3-for-5; Taryn Tracy, who was 2-for-5 with a double and an RBI; and Kristen Pusick, who was 2-for-4 with a double, a home run and three RBIs.

The Wolverines led 2-0 after four innings and 5-3 after five before the Storm scored twice in the seventh to force extra innings.

Kambriea Last had two hits, including a double, and two RBIs for Kewaunee. London Karnopp added two hits, including a double.

Manawa 18, Menominee Nation 2

MANAWA – The Wolves scored in all four innings en route to the Central Wisconsin Conference win.

Alayna Seeger was 2-for-3 with two RBIs, while Olivia Zielke was 2-for-2 with two RBIs for Manawa. Callie Pethke tripled, Alexis Ferg homered and Katelyn Krueger doubled and drove in three runs.

Taylesia Pamonicutt homered for the Eagles.

Manawa led 3-1 after one inning, 6-1 after two and 10-1 after three. After Menominee Nation scored one in the fourth, the Wolves answered with eight runs of their own to close out the game.

Bonduel 9, Stratford 7

STRATFORD – The Bears used a five-run third inning to take control of the nonconference game en route to the win over the Tigers.

Stratford led 3-1 after one inning and 4-1 after two before Bonduel flipped the momentum to take a 6-4 lead. The Bears made it 7-4 after four. After the Tigers closed to 7-6 in the fifth, Bonduel answered with two in the sixth. Stratford closed out the scoring with a run in the seventh.

Reece Spindler had two hits and a homer and Dakota Knetter was 2-for-4 with an RBI for the Tigers.

BASEBALL

West De Pere 2, De Pere 1

DE PERE – The Phantoms scored single runs in the first and second innings and made them stand up in the win over the Redbirds.

West De Pere scored in the first inning on an error that allowed a run to cross the plate and in the second inning on Logan Wierzba’s home run to center field.

De Pere got its run in the bottom of the fourth on a home run by Colton Setzer.

Caleb Scheller had two hits for West De Pere.

Wierzba pitched a complete game to get the win for West De Pere. He allowed one run, two hits and two walks over seven innings while striking out nine.

De Pere starting pitcher Charles Buysse allowed two runs on four hits and one walk while striking out seven in a complete game.

Pulaski 15, Notre Dame 9

GREEN BAY – The Red Raiders overcame a 9-5 deficit by scoring 10 runs in the sixth inning in their win over the Tritons.

Braun Wotruba had four hits, including a double and a triple, for Pulaski. He also drove in three runs. Matt Heck had two hits and three RBIs. Gavin Sikorski had two hits and Eli Heuser drove in two runs.

Maverick Amenson pitched one-third of an inning and got the win for Pulaski.

Green Bay Preble 11, Manitowoc Lincoln 5

MANITOWOC – The Hornets scored five runs in both the fifth and seventh innings to defeat the Ships.

Everett Sachs had two hits and drove in four runs and Harrison Selk had two hits, including a home run, and drove in three runs in the win for Green Bay Preble. Landon Micolichek had a double.

Cade Grapentine, Nick Braun and Bentley Henrickson each had two hits for Manitowoc. Henrickson’s two hits were both doubles.

Dallas Rady pitched the first four innings, allowing two unearned runs on two hits while striking out nine. He got the win for Preble. Jackson Zegers pitched the final three innings.

Nick Minikel pitched 4⅓ innings and took the loss for Manitowoc.

Ashwaubenon 28, Green Bay Southwest 2

GREEN BAY – The Jaguars scored nine runs in the first inning, 10 in the second inning and eight in the third in their win over the Trojans.

Alex Thayse, Moxson Kernz and Anthony Mosher each had three hits. Nolan Vertz, Brody Harrison, Nick Smith, Ian Justman and Charlie Aichele each had two hits.

Vertz and Thayse each drove in four runs. Justman and Mosher drove in three runs. Kernz, Smith, Jack Ehrfurth, Aichele, Zayden Wenholtz and Andrew Jeske drove in two runs.

Justman and Mosher both had home runs. Thayse and Kernz had triples. Vertz, Harrison, Caden Blasczyk and Justman had doubles.

Eli Pukel, Adam Nelson and Dominic Quinonez had doubles for Green Bay Southwest.

Bay Port 5, Sheboygan North 4

SUAMICO – The Pirates scored a run in the last half of the seventh inning to defeat the Golden Raiders.

Eli Hart had three hits, including a double and a home run, for Bay Port. Artie Adams had a home run and two RBIs.

Tristin Hundt had two hits for Sheboygan North.

Parker Broehm pitched one inning in relief of starting pitcher Parker Lawson to get the win.

Hundt took the loss for Sheboygan North.

Seymour 15, Green Bay East/West 3

GREEN BAY – The Thunder broke open the game against the Red Cats with six-run rallies in both the second and third innings in the five-inning victory.

Caden Steffens and Cayden Staffeldt both had three hits for Seymour. Steffens had two triples and drove in two runs. Staffeldt had a triple and drove in three runs. Nolan Beilfuss had two hits.

Levi Meister had two hits, including a triple, and drove in two runs for Green Bay East/West.

Scott Sassman pitched three innings and got the win for Seymour. He allowed two hits, two runs, walked two and struck out six.

Oconto Falls 10, Marinette 8

OCONTO FALLS – The Panthers scored seven runs in the fifth inning to defeat the Marines in a North Eastern Conference game.

Trace Brehmer led Oconto Falls with two hits and four RBIs, including a grand slam in the fifth inning. Landon Delfosse and Chase Belanger also had two hits apiece.

Sawyer Walters had three hits, including a three-run home run, and three RBIs for Marinette. Wyatt Stauss had three hits and two RBIs. Chase MacGregor had two hits and two RBIs.

Logan Berg gave up two runs and four hits over four innings and got the win for Oconto Falls. He struck out three.

Luxemburg-Casco 8, Waupaca 6

WAUPACA – The Spartans scored three runs in the seventh inning to overcome a 6-5 deficit and defeat the Comets in a North Eastern Conference game.

Ethan Dachelet had three hits and scored three runs for Luxemburg-Casco. Gavin Lax, Eli Derenne and Noah Chervenka both drove in two runs.

Hudson Billings pitched 2⅔ scoreless innings in relief of Chervenka to get the win for Luxemburg-Casco. He gave up two hits and struck out two.

Carson Jameson, Jay Card and John Zeamer each had two hits for Waupaca. Reed Rogers and Card each drove in two runs.

Little Chute 12, Denmark 5

DENMARK – Trailing 5-3 after five innings, the Mustangs broke open the game against the Vikings by scoring seven runs in the final two innings to pick up the win.

Braedon Heezen had two hits and drove in four runs for Denmark.

Caden Peterson pitched one inning of relief and took the loss for Denmark.

Kewaunee 16, Crivitz 0

CRIVITZ – The Storm scored five runs in the first inning, three in the second and eight in the fifth in their five-inning nonconference win over the Wolverines.

Kewaunee remains undefeated with a 22-0 overall record.

Brett Paulsen pitched a five-inning no-hitter for Kewaunee. He walked one and struck out 11.

Diesel Bosdeck, Dane Harrell, Blake Temme and Micah Vanness each had two hits for Kewaunee. Paulsen, Harrell, Bosdeck, Landon LaTour and Calvin Kolmorgen each had doubles. Connor Kilgore and Vanness also had triples.

Bosdeck, Harrell, Kilgore and Kolmorgen each drove in two runs for Kewaunee.

Oconto 4-4, Sturgeon Bay 0-1

STURGEON BAY – The Blue Devils’ Roman Cantu pitched a shutout to lead Oconto to the win over the Clippers in the first game of the doubleheader.

Cantu allowed five hits and struck out four for Oconto.

Dan Helnor had two hits, including a double, and drove in two runs for Oconto.

Matty Hartl had two hits for Sturgeon Bay.

Siggy Hansen started, went five innings and took the loss for Sturgeon Bay.

In the second game, Oconto scored three runs in the fifth inning to beat Sturgeon Bay.

Joey Bailey had a double and drove in four runs for Oconto.

Davis Knoll pitched the first 5⅔ innings, allowing one run on three hits to get the win. Collin Bailey pitched the final 1⅓ innings.

Algoma 18-4, Southern Door 5-1

BRUSSELS – Algoma scored 11 runs in the third inning to break open their first game of the doubleheader against the Eagles.

Cal DeMeuse had three hits for Algoma, while Cayden Neuzil and Jonah Dahms both had two hits. Charlie Prokash drove in two runs, as did Dylan Seiler, DeMeuse, Neuzil and Dahms.

Brock Delveaux had two hits for Southern Door and drove in three runs.

Prokash got the win for Algoma.

Mac Hoffman took the loss for Southern Door.

In the second game, Algoma scored four runs on six hits and six errors to get the win.

Gibraltar 2-10, Sevastopol 0-2

FISH CREEK – The Vikings scored runs in the first and fifth innings and beat the Pioneers despite getting just two hits in the first game of the doubleheader.

Sevastopol’s Andrew Wiesner had two hits and Bo Tanck had a double.

Wiesner started and took the loss for Sevastopol. He allowed two runs on two hits and five walks while striking out 11. Logan Schuh pitched the final two innings.

In the second game, the win by Gibraltar improved its record to 15-6.

GIRLS SOCCER

Pulaski 1, De Pere 1

PULASKI – Leah Kapla scored unassisted and the Red Raiders tied the Redbirds in Fox River Classic Conference play.

Pulaski goalkeeper Lucia Di Gennaro made six saves in net.

The Red Raiders are now 7-5-3 on the season and 4-1-2 in the FRCC.

Luxemburg-Casco 8, Little Chute 0

LUXEMBURG – Emi Kuhn scored three goals, while Aaliyah Wallace and Maggie Pravechek added two each to help lead the Spartans to the North Eastern Conference win.

Also scoring for Luxemburg-Casco was Claire Marohl.

Wallace and Diem Bonness each had two assists.

Teagan Gunderson was in net for the Spartans, but did not record a save. Lilah McGregor made 12 saves for the Mustangs.

Sturgeon Bay 10, Valders 2

STURGEON BAY – The Clippers got two goals from Miya Nell, Jericha Reynolds and Makena Coyhis in the win over the Clippers.

Yarrow Goettelman, Claire Quaderer, Megan Quaderer and Barbara Alberti also scored goals for Sturgeon Bay.

Claire Quaderer had a pair of assists and Coyhis had one assist.
