NBA and Milwaukee Bucks fans are reacting to the monumental trade that is sending franchise legend Giannis Antetokounmpo to the Miami Heat.
Among those is Mr. Bucks in 6, Brandon Jennings.
“Happy For Giannis. Happy For the Bucks,” the former Bucks guard wrote on X late Monday, June 22. “The Run Was Nothing But Amazing!!!! Everybody won in this situation. Bucks and the City of Milwaukee got what they wanted and Giannis is the greatest Bucks Player Ever!!!!
“Bucks in 6”
Jennings coined the Bucks in 6 phrase years ago and it came to fruition during the team’s championship run in 2021 when Milwaukee beat the Phoenix Suns in six games to end the franchise’s 50-year title drought. Jennings participated in the team’s victory parade through downtown Milwaukee to celebrate the Bucks’ second NBA championship.
Jennings also shared a series of photos on X of Antetokounmpo, including one where he’s posing with Giannis at the championship parade.

Jennings, a former first-round pick by the Bucks, had two stints in Milwaukee, first from 2009-13.
The Bucks actually drafted Antetokounmpo in 2013 just days before Jennings would be traded to the Detroit Pistons for Khris Middleton, who became Giannis’ running mate for 12 years and another franchise all-time great.
Jennings would later play with both Antetokounmpo and Middleton briefly toward the end of the 2017-18 season.
