There’s less than a month to go until the 2025 Milwaukee Lakefront Marathon.
The 43rd iteration of the event will be held during the first weekend in October. Last year, more than 1,600 people participated in the marathon and more than 1,900 runners completed the half marathon.
Here’s what to know about Milwaukee Lakefront Marathon 2025:
When is Milwaukee Lakefront Marathon and other events?
Marathon

5k Run

What is the Own the Hoan Challenge?
If you want to “Own the Hoan,” you can sign up for either the Full or Half Marathon on Oct. 5 and the 5k race of your choice on Oct. 4. Registration is limited, so make sure you sign up early.
Participants will get a third medal for competing and also some bonus “swag,” which will be announced at a later date.
How do I register for Milwaukee Lakefront Marathon 2025 and other events?
You can register online. Prices vary depending on the race:
Children under 5 years old can participate in Walk the Hoan for free.

Can I register on race day?
No, the race is not accepting same-day registration. The last day to register is Oct. 3, or until capacity is reached.
Where is packet pick up?
Marathon/Half Marathon
You can pick up packets at the Baird Center, 400 W. Wisconsin Ave., on Oct. 4 between 9 a.m. and 6 p.m. Participants will also receive a gear bag, race bib and t-shirt.
During packet pick up, there will also be an expo at the venue featuring 20 vendors.
