“I am proud and honored to announce my commitment to play Division I hockey and further my education at the University of Wisconsin,” he wrote. “I would like to thank my family, coaches, friends and advisor who have helped me along the way. I can’t wait to see what the future holds! On Wisconsin.”

Pietila, 17, is fresh off a 97-point season where he scored 31 goals with the Oakland Jr. Grizzlies 16U team.

According to PuckPreps’ Ryan Sikes, he’s a four-star forward.

The 17-year-old is set to play for the Green Bay Gamblers in the USHL this upcoming season. As for Adam Pietila, he’ll be entering his third year at UW.

When it comes to Adam’s time at Madison, the forward has accumulated 15 points during 62 games played across his first two seasons. For what it’s worth, even though he’s played 31 games each year, 12 of his 15 points came during the 2025-26 season.
