The highway will stay closed until flood waters fall back down to an acceptable level, the Outagamie County Highway Department said.

Drivers should avoid the area and use State 47, State 156, and State 187 as a detour.

The National Weather Service said the flood stage for the Wolf River is 9 feet and was at 9.8 feet as of 10 a.m. Monday, April 6. The river is expected to rise to a crest of 10 feet just after midnight before it falls below flood stage by early Sunday morning, April 12.

A flood warning is in effect for the area near the Wolf River. The National Weather Service Green Bay extended a flood warning near Shiocton and New London in Outagamie County.
