The Wisconsin Badgers have had just four total players drafted in the last two NFL drafts.
Head coach Luke Fickell took over in late 2022 with his first full season with the Badgers being in 2023.
Fickell led this squad to a bowl game that year, but he’s failed to have a record over .500 in both 2024 and 2025.
Fans have certainly let their opinions be known on having Fickell remain with the program, but he was able to develop quite a few NFL draft picks during his first two full seasons with the team.
Keep in mind, Wisconsin has had multiple players selected in 18 straight drafts. They currently hold the seventh-longest streak in the nation and have had a player drafted every year since 1979.
It’s important to note that three Badgers were drafted in 2023, though they weren’t recruited by Fickell, and it’s not fair to call those his draftees even though he took over late in the 2022 season.
2024 NFL draft
NOTE: RB Isaac Guerendo was drafted No. 129, but he transferred to Louisville in 2023 after spending 2019-23 with Wisconsin.
2025 NFL draft
NOTE: WR Chimere Dike was drafted No. 103, and QB Graham Mertz was drafted No. 197. Dike transferred to Florida in 2024 while Mertz spent both 2023 and 2024 with the Gators.
