STEVENS POINT – Do you have plans for your Thanksgiving meal this year?
As you start thinking about your turkey, stuffing, potatoes, vegetables, cranberries and dessert menu for the November holiday, one option is a cooking marathon. Another is making plans at a local restaurant.
If cooking isn’t your thing, or if you have a busy calendar and are overwhelmed by the thought of planning a meal, these local restaurants have you covered for the holiday.
The following Stevens Point-area restaurants will be open on Thanksgiving, serving your favorite dishes:
Becky’s Downtown Polonia Café is offering a turkey or ham dinner from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Thanksgiving at 7419 Portage County Z in Custer. The restaurant will also be open for breakfast until 11 a.m. and will close at 1 p.m. Thanksgiving.
Granny’s Country Café will host an All-You-Can-Eat Buffet from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Thanksgiving at 167 N. Main St. in Rosholt. Breakfast will run from 7-10 a.m. and will include eggs, pancakes, french toast, hash browns, biscuits and gravy, bacon, ham, sausage and fresh fruit. Lunch will run from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and will include turkey, ham, fried chicken, mashed potatoes, stuffing, green bean casserole, dinner rolls, cranberry sauce, Swedish meatballs, gravy and dessert.
Legacy Family Restaurant is offering Heat & Serve Thanksgiving Dinners to be picked up between 6 a.m. and 8 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 26 at 5110B Main St. in Stevens Point. Dinners include roast turkey, baked, ham, dressing, baby red mashed potatoes and gravy, green beans, homemade cranberry relish, fresh baked bread, soup or salad and pumpkin pie. Chicken gizzards in gravy can also be added for $5 extra per serving. Dinners are $21 each or four for $80. All orders must be placed by 3 p.m. Tuesday, November 25.
Michele’s Restaurant and Catering will host a Thanksgiving Buffet with all the classic dishes from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Thanksgiving at 513 Division St. in Stevens Point. Reservations are required at 715-341-3363. Meals are $35 for adults and $20 for children 10 and younger.
Olympia Restaurant is offering turkey and ham steak dinners for $14.48 per plate, along with its full menu from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Thanksgiving at 200 Division St. Suite A in Stevens Point. The roast turkey dinner will come with stuffing, potatoes and vegetables, and the ham steak dinner will come with fruit sauce, potatoes and vegetables. A roast turkey and ham combo will come with stuffing, potatoes and vegetables.
Ponderosa Pines, Pub, Eatery and Campground is offering a Thanksgiving Dinner from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. or until food runs out on Thanksgiving at 287 State 73 in Bancroft. Reservations are accepted and suggested but not required at 715-335-2267. Dinner is $16.99 and includes turkey, mashed potatoes, stuffing, vegetables, cranberry sauce, a dinner roll and dessert.
Rockman’s Catering is offering a Thanksgiving menu for takeout or delivery from noon to 4 p.m. at 2807 Plover Springs Drive in Plover. Orders must be placed by noon Friday, Nov. 21 by calling 715-341-2552, emailing events@rockmanscatering.com or at rockmanscatering.com/contact. There are limited quantities available. Traditional dinners include half or whole turkeys, mashed potatoes, stuffing, turkey gravy, cranberry relish, green bean casserole, yams, salad with ranch dressing, rolls and pumpkin pie.
SentryWorld-PJ’s is open from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Thanksgiving Day at SentryWorld, 601 Michigan Ave. N. in Stevens Point. SentryWorld posted it will offer a special meal for guests at PJ’s that day, including a green bean casserole, a harvest pizza, braised turkey and a pumpkin cheesecake. The regular full menu will also be available all day. PJ’s asks guests to reserve tables at sentryworld.com/dining/pjs.
Sky Club Supper Club is offering a Thanksgiving buffet from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Thanksgiving at 2202 Post Road in Plover. The meal includes roast turkey breast, baked sugar cured ham, oven baked chicken, Swedish meatballs, barbecued pulled pork, sage dressing, mashed sweet potatoes, sweet kernel corn, mashed red potatoes, bread, pumpkin pie and unlimited trips to the salad bar. The buffet for seniors 65 and older will be $32, adults will be $35, kids 5-12 will be $17 and younger than 5 can eat for free. Reservations can be made at 715-341-4000.
Southpoint Restaurant will be serving a Thanksgiving Dinner for dine-in or takeout during its regular hours. Dinner will include a half pound of turkey breast, as well as corn, stuffing, cranberry sauce, mashed potatoes and a dinner roll with butter for $17.99. The full menu will also be available on Thanksgiving. The restaurant is open from 5 a.m. to 8 p.m. daily at 3057 Church St. in Stevens Point.
Waupaca Woods Restaurant is offering a Thanksgiving buffet from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at 815 W. Fulton St. No. 1 in Waupaca. Reservations are appreciated at 715-258-7400. Meals are $23.99 for adults and $10.99 for children 3-10 years old. Children 3 years and younger can eat for free.
