BEAVER DAM – Three teens face potential charges in relation to vehicle break-ins and the theft of a handgun.
The Dodge County Sheriff’s Office said in a news release a search warrant was executed on a residence in the 600 block of North University Avenue in Beaver Dam on Wednesday, June 25. The warrant stemmed from numerous investigations into vehicle break-ins that occurred in the early morning hours of June 22 in the town of Beaver Dam.
The search resulted in the recovery of the stolen handgun, along with other stolen property, the sheriff’s office said. As a result, juvenile charges are being referred against two Beaver Dam juveniles. A 13-year-old juvenile faces potential charges as a juvenile for possession of a dangerous weapon by a person under 18. And a 16-year-old juvenile faces potential charges as a juvenile for possession of a dangerous weapon by a person under 18, possession of THC, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Adult charges have also been referred to the Dodge County District Attorney’s Office on a 17-year-old Sparta boy for misdemeanor bail jumping and possession of a dangerous weapon by a person under 18.
The sheriff’s office said the investigation is ongoing and residents are reminded to remove valuables from their vehicles and keep them locked while they’re not in use.
