Ashwaubenon Cinnabon employee fired for racist comments to customers

A Cinnabon employee at Bay Park Square mall in Ashwaubenon was fired after making racist comments to two customers.

In a video posted to TikTok Dec. 5 that was taken by the customers, the employee made racist and other offensive comments to them and called herself a racist.

The franchise owner “immediately” fired the employee, according to a statement Cinnabon posted in the comments section of the TikTok video.

“We’ve seen the disturbing video from the Cinnabon bakery in Ashwaubenon, WI, and we do not condone this behavior,” the company said Dec. 6. “Their actions do not reflect our values or the welcoming experience every guest deserves.”

The woman who posted the video to TikTok said in a GoFundMe that the employee made the comments to her cousin and husband, who are Black Somali Muslims.
