Appleton man charged with attempted homicide, strangling Grand Chute woman

An Appleton man was charged April 7 with attempted first-degree intentional homicide after prosecutors allege he choked a woman in her Grand Chute home.

Knapp made his initial appearance in court April 7, where his bail was set at $500,000, court records show. He remains in custody at the Outagamie County Jail, according to jail records.

No further hearings have been set in Knapp’s case as of April 8. If convicted of all charges, he faces up to life in prison.
