American Family Field gets high marks from Yelp users. Here's how high, plus ratings of every MLB stadium

When Bob Wood’s “Dodger Dogs to Fenway Franks” book on the then-26 Major League Baseball stadiums was released in 1988, Milwaukee County Stadium was rated higher than expected, due mostly to its wurst being the best.

Before the one-of-its-kind sausage race even existed, food at County Stadium concession stands were tied for tops in the majors.

Despite the Brewers now having a grill as an alternate logo to pay tribute to its pregame tailgating tradition, not everyone is down with scarfing Johnsonville products with Stadium Sauce these days.

What? C’mon, that was so 1980s.

Now, fans can get meals on wheels in the concourse.

The recent addition of “The Alley,” a variety of food trucks, appears to be keeping the Brewers baseball experience among the best in the major leagues.

Ranked eighth, American Family Field is one of five National League Central Division stadiums among the top 10 in the major leagues in USA TODAY’s ratings of all 30 stadiums, based on Yelp reviews.

PNC Park in Pittsburgh is rated first, Chicago’s Wrigley Field is ranked fifth, Busch Stadium in St. Louis is ranked sixth and Great American Ball Park in Cincinnati is ranked 10th.

But let’s get back to the food.

“Got to love American Family Field!” Stephanie H. writes on Yelp. “The food selection has grown so much, adding The Food Truck Alley and the 3rd Street Market Hall Annex! It also still has your classic baseball food … you can’t go wrong! Cheering for the Brewers is the best! Go Brew Crew!”

Even some Cubs fans admit that Milwaukee’s ballpark is baseball-fan-friendlier than the Friendly Confines.

“This place is great,” Bruce M. said. “I think I prefer watching the Cubs play here. Easy to get to, cheap parking, updated park, tailgating, great food and beer. This is how baseball was meant to be enjoyed. Now if the Cubs could just win when I go!”

Here’s USA TODAY’s rankings of all 30 parks based on Yelp users.
