Get your leg lamp sweater on but leave the Red Ryder BB gun at home for a holiday date night with Ralphie from “A Christmas Story.”
Peter Billingsley, who played the young Ralphie Parker at the heart of the 1983 holiday movie classic, will be at the Meyer Theatre in downtown Green Bay at 7 p.m. Dec. 1 for An Evening with Peter Billingsley and “A Christmas Story.”
After a screening of the film, there will be a moderated interview and audience Q&A with Billingsley. He’ll share his experiences making the movie, unique behind-the-scenes stories and insights on how it has remained a cultural phenomenon for decades.
Tickets are $59, $70.50 and $87.75 and go on sale at 10 a.m. July 23 through TicketStar at ticketstaronline.com, 920-494-3401 and at the Resch Center box office.
Billingsley, who was 11 when “A Christmas Story” was filmed, has worked behind the camera on such films as “Iron Man,” “The Four Christmases” and “Couples Retreat.” In 2022, he co-wrote, produced and starred in “A Christmas Story Christmas.” As a child actor, he starred in dozens of commercials in the 1970s. “Little House on the Prairie” fans might remember him as Gideon Hale on that TV show.
