Indoor basketball courts, rock walls and monkey bars: the Milwaukee area’s most expensive homes increasingly double as private gyms.
The median home sale price in southeast Wisconsin rose to $375,000 in June, according to the Wisconsin Realtors Association’s most recent report. That’s a 5.8% increase from 12 months prior.
Listings have improved from 2025, but buyer demand still outpaces supply, the report said.
The region’s luxury real estate market isn’t quite as tight, said Mike Ruzicka, president of the Greater Milwaukee Association of Realtors. But it’s still very hot this summer.

Bucks star Jrue Holiday’s River Hills home sells for $5 million
A 9,500-square-foot River Hills home sold for $5 million July 24, and is the month’s most expensive home sale. It was sold by former Milwaukee Bucks star Jrue Holiday.
The home, built in 1992, has eight bedrooms, 9.5 bathrooms and an attached 3.5-car garage, according to the listing from Shorewest Realtors’ Quinlevan and Armitage Team. It sits on a 4.32-acre North Dean Circle lot located along the Milwaukee River.
The property also features a private nanny or in-law apartment as well as an outdoor kitchen, the listing says. Inside, the home includes an indoor basketball court, spa-inspired bath and walk-in closets with library ladders.
150-acre Summit property sells for $3.95 million
A 150-acre Summit estate on South Golden Lake Road sold for $3.95 million on July 7.
The home, a brick farmhouse built in 1903, spans 2,250 square feet with four bedrooms and two bathrooms. The property includes 300 feet of Golden Lake frontage, according to the listing from Molly Ogden with Ogden & Company, Inc.
The estate allows for horses and is suitable for a hobby farm, according to the listing. The home includes a wraparound porch and a detached two-car garage.
Summit $3.2 million
Another Summit home, this time on Valley Road, sold for $3.2 million July 1.
This home spans 3,400 square feet with four bedrooms, 4.5 bathrooms and a 2.5-car attached garage, according to the listing from Maura Strickler with Shorewest Realtors. It was built in 1989 on a 0.84-acre lot that features 250 feet of Upper Nashotah Lake frontage.
The home includes state-of-the-art appliances, two entertaining spaces and a walkout lower level with a full bar. The fenced yard features a gas fire pit, concrete patio and permanent dock and lift, according to the listing.
Pewaukee home sells for $2.97 million
A Pewaukee lakefront home sold for $2.97 million on July 20.
The home, built in 2017, spans just under 4,000 square feet and sits on 0.24 acres on Peterson Drive. It has three bedrooms, 3.5 bathrooms and a heated two-car garage, according to the listing from Jeremy Hausmann with Compass Real Estate.
The home features smart home automation, Thermador appliances and a steam oven, according to the listing. The property also includes an insulated boathouse, heated walkways and a dock.
$2.45 million Germantown home features indoor monkey bars
A 6,800-square-foot Germantown home sold for $2.45 million July 2.
The home has six bedrooms, six bathrooms and an attached 3.5-car garage, according to the listing from Scott Olejniczak with First Weber Inc. It was built in 2023 on a 1.14-acre lot along Forest Hill Road.
The home features an indoor rock wall and monkey bars as well as a theater room, according to the listing. The property also includes an in-ground swimming pool.
