Can You Dig It?
The Portage County Public Library will host “Can You Dit It?” a Discovery Day starting at 2:30 p.m. June 18 at the Rosholt Library, 137 Main St. N. in Rosholt.
Families of all ages can drop in for a variety of events focusing on paleontology, archeology and other subterranean things, while supplies last.
All programs and events are free and are subject to changes. Photos may be taken at this event and used for library promotions.

Heritage Days 2026
The Portage County Historical Society will host Heritage Days 2026 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. June 20 and from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. June 21 at Heritage Park, 2700 Madison Ave. in Plover.
Guests can explore 11 historic buildings at the park, check out live blacksmith demonstrations, heritage crafts, interactive children’s activities, family games and more.
People can also see the Portage County Historical Society’s exhibit, “Rhythms of the River: The History of Music in Portage County.” Live music will include performances by Gray Catz, Slobberknocker, Sloppy Joe, Mark Dombrowski and Friends, CREATE Portage County’s The Mass Guitar Incident and Tom Pease.
Admission is free, but there will be food and beverages available for purchase at the event, as well as a Heritage Days Cash Raffle to support the Portage County Historical Society.

International Make Music Day
The Stevens Point Downtown Business Improvement District will host International Make Music Day from noon to 3 p.m. June 21 in downtown Stevens Point.
Musicians, singers, performers and anyone who enjoys music are invited to Mathias Mitchell Square to enjoy music, creativity and community connection.
All ages and skill levels are welcome, and those with instruments are encouraged to bring them.
