3 weekend events you don’t want to miss Jan. 15-18 in Wisconsin Rapids

Amateur Comedy Open Mic Night

17Sixteen will host Unfiltered & Unqualified – Amateur Comedy Open Mic Night starting at 7 p.m. Jan. 16 at 1716 Baker St. in Wisconsin Rapids. Guests can watch amateurs take their shot at standup comedy. Comics interested in performing can message 17Sixteen. After the comedy portion of the event, 17Sixteen will host karaoke. Snowmobile Show & Swap

Vesper SnowDrifters will host its second annual Vesper Snowdrifters Vintage Snowmobile Show & Swap starting at 9 a.m. Jan. 17 at the Vesper Community Center, 5032 Benson Ave. in Vesper. The event will feature a wide variety of classes on display, a snowmobile swap area, Kids Choice Award with children voting for the coolest snowmobiles and food from The Daily Special food truck. Beverages, basket raffles, cash raffle and a warm sitting area will be available inside. For more information, Vesper SnowDrifters on Facebook.

Make-A-Wish fundraiser

The South Wood County Recreation Center and Make-A-Wish Wisconsin will host a Make-A-Wish Wisconsin Fundraiser Public Skate from 6-7:30 p.m. Jan. 17 at 2711 16th St. S. in Wisconsin Rapids. Admission for the fundraising event will be $5, with skate rentals for $4. For more information, visit swcrc.net or find South Wood County Recreation Center on Facebook.
