Maple Fall Fest
One of the biggest events of the season returns to Marshfield this weekend. Maple Fall Fest will take place Saturday, Sept. 13 and Sunday, Sept. 14 at Wildwood Park & Zoo, 1800 S. Roddis Ave. It starts at 7 a.m. both days. It features two full days of activities with over 150 arts & crafts vendors, potato pancake breakfasts, children’s area, beer garden and food court, live entertainment, inflatable rides for children and fun for the entire family. There will also be a monarch butterfly release at 2:30 p.m. Sunday on the main stage. Admission is free. Live Music: Brett Westgrove
Wausau native and Nashville-based country singer Brett Westgrove will perform at 9 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 13 at Nutz Deep II, 809 S. Central Ave. in Marshfield. The former Wausau West High School students now sings all over the country, having shared the stage with major country names including Luke Bryan, Jon Pardi, Travis Tritt, Tyler Hubbard, Walker Hayes, Eli Young Band, Priscilla Block, Ashley McBride and more. Earlier this year he released his single “Memory Burns Like Whiskey,” which is reaching Country and Top 40 radio and is a genre-blending anthem that weaves together elements of country, rock and pop. Pumpkin Hollow
Pumpkin season is officially here at Pumpkin Hollow, 230222 County Road H in Edgar. The patch offers a 2-acre pick-your-own field as well as pumpkins off the wagon. During the peak of the season, more than 100 varieties are available along with cornstalks, squash, gourds, straw bales and more, according to the business’s Facebook page. Pumpkin Hollow is located 1 mile north of Highway 29 on the County Road H Edgar exit. Hours are sunup to sundown, seven days a week through the end of October.
