2 killed in multivehicle crash in Waupaca County

Two people were killed in a crash on State 22/54 on Aug. 8, according to the Waupaca County Sheriff’s Office.

The driver and a passenger of a car were pronounced dead at the scene after the westbound car failed to yield to an eastbound pickup truck as the car attempted to turn south onto State 110 around 2:15 p.m. in the town of Royalton, authorities said.

The truck subsequently was involved in a minor crash with another pickup truck that was stopped on State 110 at the intersection.

The driver of the eastbound pickup truck sustained a minor injury that didn’t require hospitalization.

The names of two people who died in the crash were not immediately released.

The crash remains under investigation.
