TOWN OF LIMA – An 18-year-old was flown to a Milwaukee-area hospital with life-threatening injuries Thursday, June 18, after becoming trapped in farming equipment in Sheboygan County, according to the Sheboygan County Sheriff’s Office.
Sheboygan County Emergency Communications received a 911 call at about 1:25 p.m. June 18 reporting a farming accident in the W3000 block of Wilson-Lima Road in the Town of Lima.
The caller reported the 18-year-old male’s leg was trapped in a corn grinder, the sheriff’s office said.
When responders arrived, they found him inside a silo, trapped in the equipment.
Emergency crews were able to extricate him. He was taken by Flight for Life-ThedaStar Air Medical Transport to a Milwaukee-area hospital with life-threatening injuries, according to the sheriff’s office.
Several Sheboygan County agencies responded to the farming accident
Agencies that responded included the Oostburg Fire Department and Jaws, Cedar Grove Fire Department, Adell Fire Department, Oostburg First Responders, Orange Cross Ambulance, Flight for Life-Theda Star Air Medical Transport and the Sheboygan County Sheriff’s Office.
The sheriff’s office said no further information would be immediately released.
