Wolfforth police confirm missing woman found dead, investigation ongoing

Police and Lubbock County officials are investigating after a Wolfforth woman with apparent medical issues was found dead in a field near Frenship Middle School after being reported missing by family over the weekend.

The Wolfforth Police Department confirmed 66-year-old Jennifer Treadwell was found dead about 4:30 p.m. Monday in the county following an extensive search involving multiple agencies, according to a statement from Wolfforth police.

The announcement of her discovery came after police issued a statement asking for the public’s help locating her after she was last seen about 10:30 p.m. Saturday in the area of Cowboy Lane and Dowden Road in Wolfforth.

Other information about the circumstances of her death are unclear as Wolfforth police and the Lubbock County Medical Examiner’s Office are investigating.
