Rivals released updated rankings, Texas Tech is top three for 2027

While many are focused on what is going on in the Texas Tech quarterback’s room, the staff is currently on the recruiting trails as spring football is all wrapped up. The Red Raiders are on an absolute heater when it comes to the 2027 class that will be signed this winter. The class is led by five-star defensive tackle and the nation’s No. 1 prospect, Jalen Brewster.

It isn’t just Brewster that makes this class special, according to Rivals, they also have commitments from the No. 3 edge rusher in the nation, Anthony Sweeney. Overall, this class is stocked with talent on both sides of the ball, but it is led by the two five-star defenders. Rivals released their rankings on Wednesday, showing Tech at No. 2 overall, just one point behind the top class.
