After capturing another regular-season championship, the Texas Tech softball team will try to double up again in this weekend’s Big 12 Conference tournament at Devon Park in Oklahoma City.
The Red Raiders ran away with the regular season crown, finishing five games ahead of Oklahoma State and Arizona, which tied for second, and will be the No. 1 seed in the conference tournament. Texas Tech outscored the competition 26-0 in last year’s tournament to earn the first tourney crown in program history.
Only the top eight teams in the regular season standings advance to the conference tournament. The quarterfinals begin Thursday with the championship set for Saturday.
