Construction has begun at the old Chick-fil-A building located at 3130 S. Clack St.
The prior chicken nugget palace will now be home to Fuego Tortilla Grill, a Tex-Mex chain offering gourmet tacos, burrito bowls and margaritas.
The restaurant filed with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation for a project start date of March 30, and the estimated completion date is July 10, according to the TDLR filings.
The restaurant chain has seven open locations, primarily in Texas, with one in Arkansas and one in Louisiana.
The construction project is listed mainly as an indoor renovation with an estimated cost of $450,000, said the TDLR filings.
The restaurant’s opening date is unknown, but they are actively hiring with applications listed online.
