UTEP is breaking back out the Texas Western gear.
To celebrating the 60th anniversary of the 1966 Texas Western College national champion men’s basketball team, UTEP is partnering with adidas and Homefield to launch the “Texas Western Collection.”
Per UTEP’s release, “The Texas Western Collection incorporates the vintage feel of the 1960s.”
The 1966 Texas Western team defeated Kentucky to win the national championship, becoming the first team in NCAA history in any sport to win a national championship with an all-Black lineup.
