Twentysomethings: 3 Cowboys veterans change jersey numbers

The jersey changes are continuing in Dallas, with three players now adopting new digits in the 20s.

Within recent days, safety Malik Hooker, cornerback Shavon Revel Jr., and running back Malik Davis have all been re-listed on the team’s official website with new numbers, less than two weeks before mandatory OTAs begin.

Hooker may look slightly out of place this season. After five seasons wearing No. 28 for the Cowboys, the veteran will take over the No. 24 once worn by Everson Walls and Super Bowl XXX MVP Larry Brown.

Revel, in his second year as a pro, will slide into the No. 28. Revel wore No. 34 last season; he’ll now assume the number just vacated by Hooker and once worn by legendary Cowboys defensive back Darren Woodson.

Davis will don his fifth different jersey number with the Cowboys. Having previously worn No. 34 for his first three seasons, he was seen sporting Nos. 21, 23, and 43 at various times in 2025. Now he’ll try No. 20.

As always, jersey numbers are subject to change.
