Learn more about the investigation of a serial killer at a true crime night at a Christoval winery.
John Matthews, veteran police officer, will take attendees through a firsthand account of his capture of Dallas’ notorious serial killer — the Eyeball Killer.
The event will be at the Christoval Vineyards, 5000 Cralle Road, from 6:30-8 p.m. Aug. 30.
“Learn about Oak Cliff (neighborhood in Dallas) in the 1980s and 90s, the investigation, the arrest and the unusual evidence that brought down a serial killer and ended his reign of terror,” the winery stated.
John Matthews has been a law enforcement analyst for CNN and FOX News for over 25 years and a reoccurring guest on “Good Morning America,” according to the winery.
Mathews is co-author of “The Eyeball Killer,” has published six books and is a Texas Press Association award-winning writer, the winery stated. Mathews’ story is being developed into feature film “Eyes of Jefferson” with him serving as executive producer.
Tickets are $50 including fees and can be purchased on Eventbrite. The price also includes one glass of wine. Additional food, and wine by the glass or bottle are available during the event.
