The scores are out. How did San Angelo ISD schools rank with the state?

The Texas Education Agency on Friday released performance ratings for the 2024-2025 school year for public schools and districts across the state.

The San Angelo Independent School District received a 73 score — or C — which is a slight improvement from the 2023-24 academic year when the district got a 71.

The district got a C for student achievement, a C for school progress and a C for closing the gap in the A-F performance ratings from the TEA.

Here are the 2024-2025 ratings for each SAISD school with grades from 2023-24 in parentheses:

In 2024-25 San Angelo ISD had 12,982 students. The student population was 62.5% Hispanic, 29.6% white and 3.1% African American. Economically disadvantaged students made up 57.9% of the district’s students.

Grape Creek ISD in San Angelo received a C rating, which was unchanged from the 2023-24 school year.

Grape Creek High School achieved an A for the third consecutive year while the district’s middle school received a C. The GISD intermediate and primary schools were rated D.
