OKLAHOMA CITY — The Texas Tech softball team is moving on to the winners’ bracket of the Women’s College World Series after downing Mississippi State in run-rule fashion.
The Red Raiders will now play at 2 p.m. on Saturday at Devon Park. Their game is sure to be a dramatic one after Tennessee took down Texas 6-3 in the second game of the day.
Tennessee got a three-run home run from Elsa Morrison and four solid innings of pitching from Sage Mardjetko. Karlyn Pickens went the rest of the way for the Vols, setting up the matchup.
