Texas A&M’s 2026 transfer haul is made up of 17 signees, headlined by the late additions of Alabama star wide receiver Isaiah Horton, whose final season in Tuscaloosa was his best yet after recording 42 catches for 511 yards and a team-high eight receiving touchdowns. While he easily could have returned to Alabama in his same role, the change at quarterback and his NFL future were on the line.
Entering an established offense led by redshirt junior quarterback Marcel Reed, who threw for a career high 3,192 yards and 25 touchdowns, did not have a true X receiver with the necessary size in the passing game last season, and while star wideouts KC Concepcion and Mario Craver were elite for the entire season, most of the production came off short to medium passes and screens, lacking a true field stretcher unless Concepcion and Craver, who are 5’11” and 5’9″ outran the coverage.
Standing at 6’4″, Horton is already an established route runner with the soft hands to match, becoming Alabama quarterback Ty Simpson’s favorite target outside of wide receivers Germie Bernard and Ryan Williams, especially along the boundary.
Texas A&M’s 2026 wide receiver rotation now includes Mario Craver, Ashton Bethel-Roman, Terry Bussey, and now, Isaiah Horton, possessing speed, athleticism, and, for the first time since Noah Thomas transferred to Georgia, size, which will be well utilized under first-year offensive coordinator Holmon Wiggins.
With KC Concepcion off to the NFL after declaring for the 2026 Draft, it was revealed and confirmed that Isaiah Horton will wear Concepcion’s No. 7 jersey, handing down the proverbial crown to the next Aggie wideout looking to make an immediate impact for one season.
