Texas A&M head coach Mike Elko is entering his second season at the helm, and the expectations are steadily growing based on the 14 offseason acquisitions from the transfer portal, while the return of star running back Le’Veon Moss and starting quarterback Marcel Reed should result in the Aggie offense improving, and show much more consistency.
However, the time gap between the final weeks of the offseason and the start of the 2025 campaign resulted in Le’Veon Moss, who is entering his final senior season with the program, finding himself in some trouble that led to his reported arrest in College Station (TX) early Saturday morning.
According to KBTX reporter Rusty Surette, Moss was arrested around 1 a.m. at the popular Northgate area in College Station and has been charged with disorderly conduct. Surrette further stated that the details regarding Moss’s aggressive actions against an unidentified bystander are unclear, which is why we will not speculate on any further actions that may or may not take place.
Early in the offseason, Moss announced his return to the program amid his season-ending injury after seven games during the 2024 season, and he has all but reached full health after sitting out most of the spring period. Moss’s importance to Texas A&M’s success in 2025 is undeniable. On Sunday afternoon, coach Mike Elko briefly responded to the situation:
“We are aware of the situation regarding Le’Veon Moss and will handle the matter internally.”
Before his injury, Moss ran for 765 yards and 10 touchdowns while averaging 6.3 yards per carry.
