Texas A&M lands commitment from 2027 4-star WR out of Las Vegas (NV)

Texas A&M’s 2027 recruiting class has landed its 24th commit, just two days before 2027 five-star wide receiver Eric McFarland announces his commitment on Sunday. Rising three-star wideout Damani Warren committed to the Aggies over Michigan and several other programs after receiving a prediction to land in College Station earlier this week.

If the Aggies land McFarland this weekend, it’s expected that he will be the future starting slot receiver, similar to junior Mario Craver’s current role, while Damani Warren, who stands 6’4″ and over 200 pounds, fits the X receiver mold, and is one of the more intriguing playmakers who has barely scratched the surface of his potential.

With four-star WR Jayden Upshaw also in the fold, Mike Elko and Holmon Wiggins have secured their Z receiver in the cycle, building a future rotation that provides the next Aggie quarterback a bevy of blue-chip talent, while Damani Warren has a legitimate shot at following future Hall of Famer and Texas A&M wide receiver Mike Evans’ development route, possessing equally intriguing playmaking ability after the catch.

Warren won’t blow you away with his speed, but burst and quickness getting off the line, combined with his size advantage at the catch point, will make him a consistent mismatch in go routes, while this skill set should also be utilized in the middle of the field. According to 247Sports Composite, Warren is currently positioned as the 56th-ranked wide receiver and the 4th-ranked prospect in Nevada.
