A film titled “3,” shot in Las Cruces, is now streaming on various platforms, including Prime Video, Fandango, Google Play, DirecTV, and Apple TV.
Produced by the New Mexico production company Tiburón Film, 3 is a romance film shot in 2024 in and around Las Cruces, including Palacio Bar in Mesilla, Downtown Las Cruces, St. Andrew’s, Chope’s in La Mesa, and many other locations.
Director Peter Ney said in a statement, “filming in Las Cruces reminded us why location matters — the desert doesn’t just set the scene; it becomes the story.”
Film Las Cruces Film Liaison Andrew Jara stated, “the production took full advantage of our many locations, and it will be exciting to see so many of our diverse looks showcased in this movie.”
The film is about Kai, a lonely artist played by award-winning actor Michael Paré, who is told by a barfly fortune teller (Eric Roberts), that he only has three days to live. The information makes Kai step out of his shell, and when he meets Mia (Anna Grace Barlow), he is forced to confront his fears about life and the unexpected.
