Police confirmed one person is dead after a shooting Wednesday evening in central Lubbock.
Officers responded to a report of shots fires at 11:07 p.m. July 15 in the 5000 block of 38th Street, according to a statement from LPD.
Upon arrival, officers located one person suffering from a gunshot wound. The person, who was not immediately identified, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police by early Thursday confirmed no arrests have been made and had not released a suspect description. Police stated the shooting appeared to be an isolated incident and there is no threat to the public at this time.
