Planet Fitness has opened its doors to anyone without power to use their locker rooms and showers in San Angelo.
The fitness club at 3552 Knickerbocker Road is still offering its facility to anyone in need after the flood.
The club also collected donations for those in need, making multiple deliveries to PaulAnn Baptist Church, United Way, Concho Valley Community Action, Rust Street Ministries and the Concho Valley Regional Food Bank, according to a news release.
“Our members and community have shown enthusiastic support for the drive and were eager to contribute,” the club manager said. “Additionally, we have welcomed several out-of-town volunteers who utilized our facilities. It has been a rewarding experience for the whole team.”This effort also comes while United Fitness Partners, the franchisee group that operates the club in San Angelo, contributed to a statewide effort for Planet Fitness to donate $100,000 to Kerr County flood relief.
