Niece of Night Stalker to speak at El Paso bookstore event

Rosie Juarez, the eldest niece of American serial killer Richard Ramirez, released her memoir “His Niece” on Amazon.

Juarez’s memoir, released on April 10, tells her story of overcoming abuse from her uncle, Richard Ramirez, the Night Stalker, who was born in El Paso and was 11 years older than her. He was a serial killer, sex offender and burglar whose crimes mainly happened in California, where she also lived.

Juarez will be at the Nook Bookstore Cafe, 3260 N. Zaragoza Road, Suite 201, in East El Paso, on Saturday, April 25, from 10 a.m. to noon, alongside other authors at its Makers and Writers Market celebrating local authors and handmade vendors.

Later that day, she will be at Margin Notes Bookbar, 7460 Cimarron Market Ave., Bldg. 2, Ste. 300, in West El Paso, for a book signing and Q&A from 1 to 4 p.m., as part of its Independent Bookstore Day celebration.

Her book will be available for purchase during the event and later that same day at the store’s sunset market from 6 to 10 p.m.

Juarez was one of the family members interviewed for “Richard Ramirez: The Night Stalker Tapes,” released in 2024 and available to watch on Peacock as an original series. The two-episode series includes Juarez sharing memories from when Ramirez lived with her family in California for about six years.

The book can be purchased as a hardcover, paperback or Kindle edition on Amazon.
