A weatherproof venue for golf enthusiasts has opened in Wichita Falls.
Back Nine Golf opened Saturday at 4701 Southwest Parkway.
Owner Brandon DeFord said the business offers four golf simulators.
“You hit a real golf ball into a screen-type simulator,” DeFord said. “It’ll give you your metrics like your yardage, your swing speed and the ball speed. There are 12 different metrics.”
A putting green, bar area, televisions and conference rooms are also available.
DeFord, who runs the business with his wife, Amy, said patrons can choose among different levels of memberships or pay $40 per hour to play as non members.
Tea times can be booked online. He said both he and his wife are veterans, and the business offers veteran discounts.
He said the business is open 24/7 with nonmembers welcome between 8 a.m. and 10 p.m. A grand opening is set for May 16.
DeFord said the local store is part of a franchise headquartered in Utah that has about 140 locations open.
