The week of May 2-9 has been designated as Miracle Week, according to Children’s Miracle Network of Amarillo and the High Plains Region.
Every year, Children’s Miracle Network raises hundreds of millions of dollars for local children’s hospitals across the United States and Canada, according to their website. Harnessing the power of the network, they support critical funding needs to reimagine what’s possible for children’s health.
The association raises critical funding for 170 children’s hospitals and is driven by donations raised in a community to directly support its own children’s hospital.
The collective efforts provide life-changing treatments, innovative research, vital pediatric equipment and more.
On May 2, Bubba’s 33 in Amarillo hosted the group, with the mission of passing out postcards that invited diners to mention the nonprofit to their server from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. to have a portion of the cost of their meal donated to the Children’s Miracle Network.
People visiting other participating locations listed below this week can also contribute toward the cause:
On Friday, May 8, those interested on getting updates and finding out more can follow the movement on Instagram @cmnamarillo and on Facebook @ChildrensMiracleNetworkAmarillo.
Money raised from the weeklong fundraising campaign stays in Amarillo and goes toward local children and their families to help them through difficult times. Those needing assistance can reach out to apply via the social media addresses listed above.
